Support on DSRs

Data Subject Rights or DSRs

Both UK and EU GDPR give data subjects a broad set of rights, expanded from the days of the 1995 EU Directive. The key ones are:

  • access – the right of the data subject to receive a copy of the personal data you’re processing about them, known as a data subject access request or a DSAR, and
  • erasure – the right of the data subject to have you delete their personal data, also known as the right to be forgotten.

Almost all the DSRs have rules and exceptions.

How we help

We can give you clear advice on how to respond to each DSR and, while DSRs are never a joy, we can also recommend tools to use to make it easier.
